Artists Cole Wimpee, Lacy Post, Abdelrahman (Abud) Metwally, Michael Bell, Rachel Lynette, Tre Smith, Ana Miramontes and Mischa Hutchings collectively create a surprising theatrical piece interwoven through the short plays. A roving selection of readings and happenings occur amidst a Mid-Century aesthetic of advertising ploys designed to retrospectively examine how corporate culture has shaped our decades-long perspective on relationships between consumer products and the natural world. The performance will generate action steps surrounding Fayetteville’s initiative to end single-use plastic.

“I don’t want you to hope. I want you to panic. I want you to feel the fear I feel every day. I want you to act like you would in a crisis. I want you to act like your house is on fire, because it is.” —Greta Thunberg.
